Korean Skincare Edition : (I Am From) Vitamin Tree Gel Review

Well this will be my first post about skincare in this blog, I think?

I was always interested in skincare. I tried to take care of my skin from the early on. But whatever I bought always had bad effect on my face: breakout, shiny, irritated face,uneven tone and what not. And I could not really afford proper skincare item; I mean how could I  when I have to live off allowance with only saving about 150 taka  per month. Hence I stopped caring about taking care of my skin altogether ,allowing my skin to take its worse course.

But now that I am working and earning money, that skincare spirit in kicked back in. I have been saving up enough money and wanted to invest it on them. Because,my girl, korean skincare is really expensive. But they are so good for your face.

So far,I owned only two Korean skincare items. One moisturising cream, Vitamin Water skin gel and other one is sunblock, Missha Water proof sun block spf 50 PA+++. I will review sunblock later this week.

FIRST thing first; about my skin type. My face is oily, dull and dehydrated. I have large pores around my nose and forehead.

Now onto the to the main character of the topic, Vitamin Tree Water gel. It look like this.

It has gel consistency. Perfect for oily skinned people

It comes with spatula. Good for hygienic purposes.

At first it looked like it contain bunch of chemicals. But on closer inspection, it contained lot of flower extract, witch hazel, aloe leaf gel.  Lot of good stuffs!!!

What does it claim

Most of the written stuff are in Korean language, which I cannot read. One thing is written in english which you can see from the above picture, "Special Product for Whitening Effect"So I took a look at the wishtrend website. And my girl a a lot of stuff is written over than. I will summarised it for you. It claimed:

1) It is not in synthetic Form

2)0% Distilled Water, High concentrated Vitamin Leaf Tea

a)Zero-water Formula(Whoa??)

b)Brewed Carefully From Fresh Vitamin leaves, revives your skin's health, and renew its radiance.

c)Contain 70.39%  vitamin leaf tea from Taebaek Mountain  

3)Richer in Catechin than green tea(Which is claimed to be the powerful key to De-Aging)

4)It contain a lot of plant extract like snow lotus, cloudberry, Rose of jericho

What I think

I used it a month before giving a full thorough review. 

When I applied it on my face for the first time(after cleansing my face of course), it felt like I was applying a layer of water on my face. It took bit amount of time for my face to absorb the gel fully. After the absorption, there was no typical greasy feeling which usually happen with any other cream. It feel like there is nothing on my face. Yet, my face feel hydrated. And this gel did not have any smell at that time. I used it on my face in morning before i go out and night before I go to sleep.

But after few weeks of usage, the application got a little bit strange. It get dried immediately after I applied on my face, which felt like I did not apply enough. It feel like nothing went inside my face which frustrated me. And I started to feel bit dry around my lip and the nose which was strange ; because I am naturally super oily face person. I started to get this slight weird smell coming from them.

So I stored the gel inside the refrigerator. And it got better!!! The cold gel feel so good on my face, and the application was better than the first time!!! And this time I could actually feel them working on my face. I could see a healthy glow on my face after each application. Not the oily type glow, but a beautiful natural glow. My pores got smaller too.I noticed I get oily at around 4 to 5pm which is good because I usually get oily around noon time. Which mean It  helped in managing sebum production.

But there was no changed in my skin tone after a month. So the  whitening claim is not true. There is no brightening effect either.  However, it make your face look less dull. Like more healthy look.

And you need to use less than pea size for the face. My jar look full and new even after using it for a month.

• In conclusion, it is one of best moisture for oily skin people. Especially for summer time!! If you ever plan to buy it I suggest you to keep it cool and refrigerate to keep the content fresh.It is simple ,fresh and effective moisturising gel. But you need to keep using it for many weeks to see its effect. It take time for good result.
